Sunday School & The Zone

Activities for Children and Young People are provided on Sunday mornings at the same time as Morning Worship - 10.00 a.m.

Once each month The Zone provides a full hour of fun activities based on a Christian theme. Some activities are done together, others are done in groups appropriate to the age of the Young People.

On other Sundays, the Children and Young People join the Church congregation for the first part of Worship and then leave for Sunday School when they have their own activities in different age groups.

Parent & Toddlers Group

The Parent & Toddlers Group meets at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday mornings.

The Girls' Brigade

The 1st Elland Company of The Girls' Brigade is part of the activities of Southgate Methodist Church. It is a Christian Organisation for Girls and meets on Monday evenings in the following age-groups:

• Explorers - Age 5 to 7
• Juniors - Age 8 to 10
• Seniors - Age 11 to 13
• Brigaders - Age 14 to 18

The Boys' Brigade

The 5th Halifax (Elland) Company of The Boys' Brigade is part of the activities of Southgate Methodist Church. It is a Christian Organisation for Boys and meets on Wednesday evenings in the following age groups:

• Anchor Boys - Age 5 to 7
• Junior Section - Age 8 to 10
• Company Section - Age 11 to 18
